Porites somaliensis

Description: Colonies are massive, hemispherical, with a knobbly surface and may be several metres across.
Color: Pale brown.
Habitat: Shallow reef environments.
Abundance: Rare, except at Cocos (Keeling) Atoll.
Similar Species: Porites stephensoni, which has similar but smaller corallites. Calice characters are closest to P. lutea.
