Description: Colonies form hemispherical mounds of branches or are openly branched. Branches are short, irregular, and swollen towards their tips. Verrucae are sparse, short or absent.
Color: Green or mustard.
Habitat: Shallow rocky foreshores.
Abundance: Uncommon.
Similar Species: Pocillopora capitata, which has relatively compact branches and elongate verrucae. See also P. effusus and P. fungiformis.
