March Frag Swap

OK folks... there's a SDMAS Frag Swap on March 6th. Bring frags, food, the kids, etc. We're still working out a location, but that'll get resolved in the next day or two.

This frag swap is intended to give locals a chance to get some nice stuff from each other before everything gets dragged up to Anaheim on the 20th.

softball sized zoanthid rock, mostly pinks: $30

12g JBJ nanocube w/o lid: $20

... and probably some more stuff as I remember it.

I'll accept trades over cash, and I'm looking for any really cool corals. softies, lps, sps, you name it!

I'll bring a whole tribe of sps frags. Not exactly sure what they'll be though -should have purple millii, bali slimer and monti cap flavors.

What time is good with everyone? I am up for any time during the day.

Also,...never having done this before...what should I have on hand for everyone? Extra water? Bags? Food? If so, what kind.

OK everyone, hows this sound?

We can start at 1:00PM (If this isn't good, please let me know). I will have food/drink on hand, so come hungry. Sound like Stag can bring over some beverages also.

I will have a small holding tank set up with just water and a heater so we have a place to keep the stuff, and we can use the water if we need to.

Just give me an idea of how many people to expect so I know approx how much food to have :)

Any other suggestions would be great (i.e. - BBQ, pizza, movies, etc.)

Being that I live in Rancho Penasquitos, I'll make sure to come on by. I have only a few frags to offer up being that I'm still pretty new to the hobby, but I've got some zoa's, shrooms and xenia I can bring by.

On another note, if anyone has a 50-60 gallon tank that they think would make a good propagation tank (shorter tanks as oppposed to tall ones), or even a 100-200 gallon I can cut in half, feel free to either bring it by or message me if you're trying to get rid of one :) I'm not looking for anything fancy, dirty / scratched / beat-up is fine with me so long as it doesn't leak.

Hello...we just moved to the area and haven't joined the club yet...but we just got our 72 gal tank up and running :) We don't have anything to swap yet (although we might be able to dig through the boxes and come up with some hardware). We just wanted to make sure that it would still be ok to come by? We are in Mira Mesa and it would be an easy jaunt!

We would go 240, but the 8 feet might be a little tight,...so we will go with the 6 foot tank. We are going to start putting together the 'stuff' needed,....so if anyone knows of any good deals on parts or has some old stuff lying around (skimmers, calc reactors, tunzes,..etc) let me know.

I had been waiting to move in to a larger place myself before building my frist decent sized display tank. But after yesterday.... there's no more waiting- meeting everyone, just listening to people talk- it just drove my desire for a bigger rig up a notch.

And although I wont be moving up to anything quite your size, it will finally push me out of the nano-range that I've kept myself in.
