nice setup. you might want to catch that damsel before you try and add any other fish or rocks in the tank. They can become terrors in a tank. And welcome.

You should come to the christmas party. Might be able to start your tank out with some free corals. Just started it up last Sat Nov 2007.

Sweet,I'll definetly goto Xmas party. SWI is right down the street. Will is great.

Hey can you delete the quote of my pics etc from your post,Ive beene diting it for content. thanks a bunch.

Thanks for tip.
Trying to stock fish/verts according to "Harmonic Convergence" article by Michael Hoaster, in Nov Freshwater and Marine Aquarium Magazine."set up the perfect marine community". But saw damsels and had to have em. LOL
May pay for it latyer, but so far so good, Azures are supposed to be a bit nicer than some other damsel but they are Damsels (Fenner). We shall see. I'll read up some more.

Already have 52lbs of live rock, looks like I need 40-50 more lbs? not sure? (more pics later)

My modified plan in order of introduction:

3 neon blue gobies
5 blue green Chromis
2 ocellaris clown fish
1 lawnmower blenny
1 orchid dottyback
1 Blue hippo Tang
2 firefish
1 Mako shark

Cleaner crew (inverts etc) in any order:
2 skunk cleaner shrimp
5 blue legged reef hermit crabs
3 scarlet reef hermit crabs
3 Trocus snails
3 Strombus snails
3 Nassarius snails
3 Cerith snails
1 fighting conch

...of course Ive already screwed up the plan LOL

Cheers,
Richard

wow that is a huge bioload! I was feeling rebelious with my 9 fish. What kind of skimmer and filtration are you going to have to take care of all that poop? Be prepared to do your water changes if you want to keep that many fish.Sweet,I'll definetly goto Xmas party. SWI is right down the street. Will is great.

But there such small fish. LOL:o

...hmmm
The original list from the article is for a 75 gal marine community tank. (FOWLR)
I was planning on putting it into a 90 with 30 gal sump? So I figured I'd be OK.
15 fish...
May have to rethink this plan.
It wont be the first mistake I make and certainly not the last. Ask me in another few years and I may have half a clue by then. LOL
I'n the mean time I'll keep reading books, articles, posts, etc and learning as I go.

Its funny you need to function like or consult a marine boiologist, ichtheologist, nutritionist, vetrenarian, carpenter, plumber, electrician, mechanical engineer, chemical engineer, artist, or just be a lunatic to do this. LOL
but I guess thats part of the fun.

Hey we just caught 2 more fry in our freshwater tank tonight! Little mini Red Wag Swordtails. Kool, put em in a small breeder box with some gravcel and JavaMoss. We must be doing something right. LOL Luke and Lei, decendents of Amidala and Anakin. Only a few had enough mastery of the force to evade the jaws of our Dwarf Gourami (George Lucas).:)

Filtration: (the poop plant);)
Big clean up crew? 8 crabs, 28 snails, fighting conch, 2 cleaner shrimp, 3 cleaner gobies, 1 lawnmower blenny, sand sifter starfish.
60 lbs live sand
Have 53lbs live rock probably add 50+- more lbs.
Filter sock.
Macro algae
Pre filter.
Usinig a SuperSkimmer 220 (for up to 220 gallons).
Maybe I'll have to add a canister filter, UV, HOB refugium on Sump, or something.
