My 55g Mixed Reef

Hello Everyone! I'm the new kid in town from the east coast. I moved here about a month and half ago from Virginia Beach, VA. I have been keeping marine aquariums for about 2 years now after moving over from freshwater in which I have had about 12 years. I first started with a 10g nano with nothing but liverock and I thought it was the coolest thing in the world! I had a 55g cichlid tank that I finally converted over to saltwater. After about 20 fish and about 20 different frags I finally got it right! I lost most of my stuff during shipment and had to rebuild my stock here in SD. There are a lot of great stores and the prices are amazingly lower than back home. Without further ado here is my tank:

Its doing very good for only being up for a month and a half. Most of the algae bloom has subsided and things are starting to look more like a reef(sorta). Any input is appreciated as always. Hope everyone enjoys!

Welcome to San Diego!
My folks just flew back to Va Beach today, they were visiting for Christmas. :)

I'm about 6 weeks into my first tank.
My algae bloom is still subsiding. LOL

Thanks Jess! The aquascaping was an accident, I just put those pieces in and it came out like it is!


Delphin25, that is awesome! How was your Christmas? Thanks for the welcome, I love it here! Heck I'm outside enjoying a cup of joe and surfing the net! Back in Va I would be inside next to the heater! :p How big is your tank? What kind of corals do you plan to keep, if any? Have you introduced a clean up crew yet?
