I picked up a few of the ELOS test kits to give them a whirl. I chose the Alkalinity (Kh) and the Phosphate (PO4) from Marine Depot. The boxes are very small and have the ELOS asthetics you come to expect from them...sort of like the Apple for reefing.
Anyhow, these were the easiest test kits I've ever used. Very easy to read, use and just a few drops and you are good to go. Only complaint would be that they have a pretty wide gap range when comparing what level you are at. For example, for the alkalinity test, each drop is equal to .5. So if you put in 16 drops before the color changes you have a Kh of 8. Like most kits the color starts to change but you need to add another drop or two before the water completely changes color.
Same thing with the phosphate kit, the color bar goes from .01ppm to .25ppm so trying to figure out truly where you are at could be difficult if not a direct color match.
As for the price, the are about the same or less than salifert for the majority of test kits they sell.
I'll have to do some comparison tests with salifert to see how they match up.
Here is a link to another review on the phosphate kit so that you can see what the kit looks like.
