I've had a 30g tank going for close to a month now. I have 25lbs live rock with a few polyps on them. I've started with some b-ionic calcium buffer and I am looking at all the other supplements out there. So my question is what do you use? I've heard everyone kind of has their own formula. I looked around and did not see anyone talking about it here and I think it would be cool if people talked about what they have tried.

I've dosed B-Ionic before on a smaller tank but run a reactor now. When I dosed for Alk and CA I actually saw better results with the Warner Marine (WM) line, at least from a corraline algae standpoint. I do not dose iodine or strontonium as I've read some articles about them not being that productive or enough already being in the salt I mix but I've recently started dosing some of the zeovit products/coral food. I also dose DT's phytoplankton on occasion. Hard to say if I've seen a direct correlation to growth or color at this point. I definitely notice heavy polyp extension when using the zeo product "sponge power". I think more has to do with overall water chemistry then just adding a supplement.

I'm not married to any one thing yet. Currently I'm using red sea calk. I don't dose often or on any one schedule. The only thing i will say, is don't dose what your not testing for
