I just thought you'd like to know that tho they claim to mix up at 450 CA I just mixed up 30 gallons at 1.022-1.023 and the calcium tested out at just about 400.

Has anyone else actually tested this salt before they add it to the tank? I still like the salt better than any others, I am just interested in why its not mixing up at what they advertise.

I am by no means an expert, but I believe that quantities of the elements are based on a sg of 1.025-1.026. If the sg is less, then the ASW is more dilute. Thanks for asking about my tank, it's doing much better.

I used to use it Jess but I stopped because I had to dose more than when I was using Tropic Marin.. I wasn't happy with the results that I was getting.
