Moving Issues

I'm moving within San Diego and I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on what to do during the move? I figure the tank will be either the first or last thing moved. I'm hoping not to kill any coral or the damsels, and not make a mess. Why does water have to be so heavy...:confused:

Move it last. Make sure you know where to put it in its new location before you move it. That way you are only moving it once. I would try to take as much rock and livestock out of it and put it in Home Depot buckets for the move. No need to disrupt the sand, but try to get as much water out and into the buckets as possible. Just be happy you aren't trying to move a 300g.:)

go to smart and final and get those little deli containers with the lids. Put your corals in those with water, and then put those in a box. Then you take your water from your tank and put it in 5 gal buckets (the clean water not the dirty water at the bottom of the tank). Then you put your rock in bins as big as you can lift and set it all up over at the other house.

nope didnt move, buddy/landlord didnt have the money to fix the house like he wanted and then I got laid off for either increasing sales or my company just needed the extra money they were paying me to throw a holiday party so no point to move. But I am going to go back to school outside of SD in Sept so depending on where I go will depend on what happens then..buts there time to figure that out. When that point does come its either selling time or panic time on how i'm moving it long distance
