Decided I needed to create a build thread here as well for my new tank that I am slowly putting together.

currently have:
60Cube
Wood to build the stand
Lumenarc 3 Stealth reflector
1/5hp JBJ Chiller
2 K3 and 1 K4

Still to get:
Sump 24*18*14 divided in three sections (9" skimmer/7" return/8" refugium)
Lumentek 250w ballast
MH bulb (probably Reeflux 12K but may change)
Quiet One 3000 return pump
Maybe one or two more powerheads (vortech mp20  :p)

Tank after cleaning and painting the back:

On sunday it is going up to LarryM to be drilled (2x 1" holes)

mm nice, I've got such an itch to do a nano...all these new tanks getting set up don't help it out. Did you just get tired of only 3 gallons of water in your nano?

Building the 60G to stop myself from messing with my 3G Pico. The pico will stay running after I get the 60 going because I love my little gobies and afraid to lose them in such a large tank.

Josh, what size thickness is that glass....looks really thin from that pic. I'd be a little worried about such thin glass on a rimless tank.

Most of your little gobies should do fine (and yes, you'll even SEE them on a regular basis) in a larger tank so long as you don't have other creatures in there that would find them to be tasty. :)

Solana 34's are very thin too... looks fragile but does ok...

Marlin, the glass is 1/4"

Finished building the stand last night. Here it is, need to still put the bottom and top plates on, and sand it down to get rid of the rough texture on it.

(by the way the stand is backwards in the pic, the tank will have the more sides on the front and left of the tank)

Next I will be doing the plumbing. I have a temporary sump for now, but want to eventually get a custom built sump, dimensions being 20x20x14.
