Searching to rent space in a hospital tank/ quarantine tank. In a few weeks, I'll be moving to San Francisco. I'm planning to take my 60 gallon reef tank. Searching for a place to store my livestock for several days. That way, I can move my furniture & set up the tank/sand/live rock in its new location, and then come back and transport the livestock. Does anyone have a way to hold these living creatures for me for a limited time? Or have a better idea for the move?
2 oscellaris clownfish
1 firefish
1 shrimp & 1 goby
approx. 8 nassarius snails
LPS coral (frogspawn, candy canes, hammer)
2 mushroom rocks
3 favia (2 small, 1 large)

Christina,

When do you think you are going to need this? I may be able to set something up for you but don't have anything set up right now.

Let me know what time line you are thinking about.

Shelly, thanks so much for responding. Would be great if I could rent some space in your extra system. I'm planning to do the main physical move between February 26-28. So I'd probably clear out the S.D. tank around Feb 25 and collect the fish & corals on March 1, or the following weekend. Haven't finalized the plans yet... still trying to work out all the logistics!

Do you think they would all fit in a 20 gallon tank? What I could do is set up a 20 gallon for you.

If you think they will fit in there then let me know.

What kind of light do you have them under now?

We should try to match that so they are not stressed to much.

Can you leave your lights with me or are they incorporated in a canopy?

Christina,

Will they fit in a 20 and do you have lights?

Hi Shelly. The fish & delicate corals should fit in a 20 gallon. I have a Sunpod light from my 29 gallon office tank that should fit over a 20 gallon. Still uncertain about all the logistics of the move. Have you moved houses?

Perfect - the sunpod will work great.

Nope have not moved yet - should be starting around mid to end of February. My tank will be the last thing moved and we are not in a hurry, so I am thinking mid March or so.

Your items will be the RP house and can stay there no problem.

When you work out logistics just let me know. We can set up the 20 gallon anytime (and if worse comes to worse we can move your 20 gallon also, will be a piece of cake after moving the 180 ;).
