WTf is this stuff on my rock ?

Started a about 2 mo's ago. I would brush it off with a Toothbrush, it would return. Now it's on most of my rock, even in the rock in my sump which is only lit 6 hours at night.


I thought Dino at first, but doesn't look like any of the photo's I have seen.

I do have high Nitrate at the moment. About 45ppm. I did a 30G WC yesterday, and I am doing another 30 tonight.


I have also replaced my Coralife SS125 Skimmer with a Octopus Pro 250.

I suppose you're talking about the little fuzzy growths on your rock? I don't know what it is but its on a lot of rocks all the time. Especially sump rocks. Do you not want it?
