I finally got around to cleaning out my garage today and discovered boxes of fish related stuff I don't use or never did use. I'm willing to bet many of you are in the same boat, no pun intended.

Here is my proposal:

LAFishFanatics & MASLAC Garage Sale (and anybody else who wants to participate)

We'll hold it at my house in Glendale on Sunday, Sept 27th from 9 am to 3 pm. Come and bring your stuff you want to get rid of. Fish stores can clean out their storage rooms. You can pocket your proceeds or donate some or all of it to the Wildlife Waystation Piggy Bank. My intention is for most of the proceeds to go to the WW. I'll leave it up to you. Do as you wish.

I have tables and chairs available. I need some help to advertise this to other fish clubs, local fish stores, fishy websites, Craig's List and Recycler.com. We can fire up the bbq and have some tubs of icy drinks.

I think it will be lots of fun. Please let me know if you're interested. I know many of you are not close to Glendale but I'm trying to make it worth the trip.

Thanks, you guys have a great Club. We were next to you at some previous Frag shows and I admired how many members were there helping out, your stickers, posters, etc.

I know Glendale isn't close but if your members want to combine the trip with some lfs visits, there are plenty of nice stores in OC and the San Fernando Valley. I'd be happy to recommend some.

Plus, I have a 75 gal reef and a 92 gal bowfront Discus/planted tanky.

Due to the low response from members, etc, I have cancelled the Garage Sale for Sept 27th.

My sincere thanks to the five LAFF Members and one Maslac member that offered to bring items to sell. A few more LAFF members did offer to help out but there wouldn't have been enough stuff to sell.

A special Thank You to the one Fish Store that offered to help by donating items. You know who you are.
